What is the difference between the weekly term classes and holiday classes?
The lesson curriculum for the weekly term classes and holiday classes are the same. The main difference is in the delivery format of the sessions. Weekly term classes are held on a weekly basis (once a week), whereas our holiday programmes are held consecutively over 4 days (Monday to Thursday).
What is the instructor to student ratio?
We strive to maintain a small instructor to student ratio to provide your child with the best learning experience.
- STEM Little Explorer Programme – 1:4 Instructor to Student Ratio
- Robotics Certificate Programme – 1:4 Instructor to Student Ratio
- Inventor Certificate Programme – 1:5 Instructor to Student Ratio
- Data Analyst Certificate Programme – 1:5 Instructor to Student Ratio
Does my child need to have any prior Robotics or Coding experience to attend the classes?
No. We welcome all kids – with or without prior experience – to join our programmes and be introduced to the world of Robotics & Coding. Our curriculum is designed to be progressive, such that students with no background experience can join from the introductory levels of each course, and progress their way to intermediate and advanced levels of the courses upon passing an assessment at the end of each level.
What does my kid need to bring on the first lesson?
- Writing Materials
- Water Bottle
- Jacket (in case the air conditioning is too strong)
- Light Snacks (we provide our students with oreo’s as part of their snack breaks but feel free to bring your own!)
Apart from the items listed above, we will provide our students with the necessary equipment and lesson materials for our classes.
Are we allowed to bring home the robots built at the end of each course?
In general, the robotics kit and laptops provided during the classes are not allowed to be brought home unless stated otherwise. For the Inventor Certificate Programme (Arduino Microcontroller), each student will be given their own Arduino Starter Kit (worth $49.90) on their first arduino lesson. They will be required to bring and use their own kit for subsequent lessons and courses.
Will there be a break time given during the classes?
Generally, we provide our students with a 10-15 minute break during the midway point of the session. We provide our students with light snacks (oreos) and packet drinks (e.g. apple juice, ice lemon tea) during the breaks. Should your kid have any dietary preferences, you are strongly encouraged to pack your own snacks for him/her.
What are the course fees like?
Our fees range from $336 to $420 for an 8-10 hour programme. For greater savings, you may purchase a course package that can be shared used between 2 or more students concurrently and have a validity period of 2 years from the date of purchase.
